In the Adam manner, constructed in polychrome decorated Satinwood rising, from tapering turned legs with trailing garlands, the seat frame, the sides and the square form backs double caned centered around tablets showing Cupid at sport, the outcurved turned arms joining the seat frames to the backs. Profuse bellflower, rose and fruiting leaf decoration throughout, following designs by Pergolesi. England, Circa 1880
