An Impressive Pair of Library Armchairs in the High Victorian Manner

Constructed in rosewood, rising from exuberantly carved swept legs with ball and claw feet, with a conjoined carved apron; the part upholstered arms with stiff leaf carved terminals with shaped dolphin supports; the show wood frame enclosing the upholstered seats and backs. England. Circa 1850.
