A magnificent rare pair of French bronze antique vase lamps of Greek Krater form by Ferdinand Barbedienne (1810 – 1892) on rouge griotte marble pedestals. Ferdinand Barbedienne is in the front rank of bronze makers in the world. His company won numerous awards in International Exhibitions, and he worked directly for Auguste Rodin, Barye, and Mene. His precise casting and chiseling is of remarkable quality. The vases here are of antique form mounted on the glorious veined marble based.
