Description
Constructed in carved gilt wood, and having a pietra dura inlaid circular platform; rising from a tripartite swept leg base with scroll feet, with imbricated carving supporting the baluster form column, dressed with leaf forms, the gadrooned edge gilt wood platform frame housing a Derbyshire black slate ground, inset with a bird in flight amidst leaves, utilising, inter alia, malachite and lapis lazuli.
