A Good pair of Giltwood Looking Glasses in the Early Georgian Manner

Constructed in carved gilt wood and gesso; the exuberant symmetrical serpentine frames surmounted by the triple feather motif of the House of Hanover ‘Ich Dien’, carved with foliates and ‘C’ scrolls, having scallop shell lower terminals, housing mirror plates within shaped reserves, the design coming from the baroque mirrors of circa 1730.
