A View over the Bristol Channel from near Dunster Castle
By Eugen Krüger
Oil on canvas, signed and dated lower right by the artist, 1863.
Overlooking the Bristol Channel, there has been a castle at this site for a millenium. At the time Kruger painted the scene it was in ruins, but has been restored, and is a family home today.
