A Pair of Late Nineteenth Century Upholstered Benches
A pair of benches of Classical curule form, with stylised 'x' form fluted legs having cross stretchers, all expertly carved with giltwood acanthus terminals, capitals, and rosettes to the cornice. The whole decorated with original white and gold gesso, with later upholstery.
