An Elegant Mantel Clock
In the Louis XV Manner
The clock and its plinth are executed in gilt bronze in a dynamic rococo style, rising from scrolling foliage. The dial is in the shape of a flower and has the hours marked by hand-painted porcelain roman numerals. It is flanked by scrolling acanthus and foliage with an intertwined foliate pinnacle. The eight-day movement strikes on the hour, and half hour.
