Carved from lindenwood, the sculpture depicting a setter dog in their typical ‘pointing’ stance supported on a naturilsticlly carved rectangular plinth with foliage and flora, the canine’s fur flowing in the wind and with glass-inset eyes intensely focused on the prey; the carved collar inscribed “Nägler aus Gera,” and also bearing a Berchtesgaden inscription to the base.
