A Pair of Ormolu-Mounted Sèvres Style Vases
The porcelain vases with lids, dressed with ormolu mounts and decorated with ruby-red and white glass beads, supported on square bases with everted corners and a waisted foot, the body of each vase with a hand-painted bucolic scene to one side and floral bouquet to the other, on a blue-celeste ground and with parcel gilt framing, flanked by ormolu handles modelled as bacchanalian satyr heads, and surmounted by domed lids with acorn finials and hand-painted floral wreaths along the perimeter.
