Constructed from finely cast and chased gilt bronze, these decorative firedogs with attenuated rectangular plinths are supported on oblate toupie feet, the corners dressed with rosettes flanking pierced panels, a large fluted column with laurel collar dressed with relief mandorlas of female Classical figures suspended from a lovers' bow and draped with floral garlands; surmounted by urns with flambeau finials,
