In the Louis XIV Manner of André-Charles Boulle
Constructed in ebony and ormolu, adorned in première-partie inlay work of engraved brass and pewter; rising from tapering toursade feet; the breakfront façade presenting a central door with an ormolu frame composed of lion's paw feet, a mask of Apollo, and a canopied surmount from which ribbon-tied bronze musical trophies are suspended flanking a marquetry panel in the manner of Jean Bérain; the door opening up to reveal a mahogany-lined and shelved interior; the flanking panels and sides of the cabinet exhibiting exquisite marquetry work of rinceaux, and geometric foliates; the whole surmounted with a Campan marble top.
