A very unusual item combining rare coromandel wood and solid sterling silver, the vanity mirror is supported on a coromandel base incorporating a hidden jewellery drawer in its curved front, faced with silver floral garlands and having angled corners dressed with silver C-scrolls terminating in rams’ heads. The oval mirror set within a detailed frame of running bellflowers with a decorative finial atop, attached to a hinged tilting mechanism beutifilly styled with neoclassical urns, acanthus foliage, scrolls, garlands, and rosettes. Fully hallmarked sterling silver.
