Manufacture nationale de Sèvres
Founded in 1740 in Vincennes and later moved to Sèvres near Versailles, the Sèvres porcelain factory quickly became synonymous with French luxury and artistry, pioneering techniques such as hard-paste porcelain. By the second half of the 19th century, under Napoleon III’s patronage, it expanded production, creating opulent pieces for aristocratic and imperial clients.
