See 'British Furniture 1820 to 1920' by Christopher Payne, 2023, p. 458-459, illus. figs. 9.29-30, for a discussion of the Westwood Park chairs, sofa and their 19th century adaptations.
The design for this sofa is derived from a suite of seating furniture from Lord Doverdale's Westwood Park. Besides being photographed and featured in magazines such as Country Life (1902), the sofa and accompanying chairs were also famously part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's display of the Kirtlington Park Dining Room, said to be one of the most beautiful Rococo rooms in England.
