Attributed to Jean-Pierre Feuillet (1777-1840)
The hand-painted, glazed & fired circular plaques of tavern scenes celebrating one of the most famous painters of the Antwerp Golden Age, David Teniers. In carved giltwood frames.

A similar pair of plaques, bearing the name of Feuillet & undoubtedly by the same hand, with the Butchoff collection.
Jean-Pierre Feuillet (1777-1840)
Feuillet was a noted Parisian porcelain decorator working from Rue de la Paix, where he established a studio in July of 1814. Feuillet gained a reputation as one of the best porcelain decorators in the city, and this at the height of production in Paris. He used blanks from a variety of manufacturers including Nast and the Darte Frères. His studios were taken over in 1840 by Boyer, who continued the Feuillet legacy after Jean-Pierre's death.
