A Superb Italian Pietra Dura Guéridon Table
The circular top with exquisite pictorial inlay consisting of rare marble and semi-precious materials such as lapis lazuli contrasted against a deep Belgian Black marble ground, with a central floral bouquet of roses and lilies, surrounded by pendant pietra dura inlays of shells & pearls, floral bouquets, and birds. The gilt and patinated bronze base in the Grecian Revival taste, standing on lion's paw feet and with anthemion motifs throughout.
