A Fine George IV Period
Flamed Mahogany Serving Table
Constructed from nicely figured flamed mahogany, the top with projecting corners over a frieze enclosing three, oak-lined drawers with quadrant mouldings. The piece is supported on six robust turned and reeded legs adorned with carved floral rosettes above, terminating in waterleaf-clasped lion paw feet.
English, circa 1825
Of great architectural proportion, and made from striking imported mahogany from the Americas, this table with its carved details and reeded legs has all the hallmarks of great late Georgian design and is equally suitable for use as a serving table or as a console table.
