An Adams Revival Satinwood Display Cabinet
The cabinet using very fine lustrous satinwood highlighted by elegant gilt brass accents throughout, supported on four carved water leaf legs, the cabinet having a demilune lower section with curved glazed sides doors enclosing two fixed shelves on either side, the central door richly decorated with a penwork medallion of pastoral theme surrounded by neoclassical marquetry of scrolling swags; the breakfront superstructure above with D-end glazed sides and a straight front, enclosing three shelves, the pilasters throughout adorned with inlaid motifs of bellfowers husks suspended from ribbon lover's bows, a motif again repeated in the neoclassical running frieze along the top.
