Description
Constructed in a good flame-veneer mahogany, with gilt metal mounts; rising from a tripartite incurved base mounted on castors, issuing three entasis form cylindrical columns, gilt metal mounted at their capitols and bases, which support the circular glazed platform, inset with a watercolour painting, of five of the major principal views of Rome, including St Peter’s Square, the Pantheon, the Colisseum, the Spanish Steps and the Arch of Constantine.
