Satinwood and Hand-Painted Miniature Bureau
In the Adams Manner
Constructed from lustrous satinwood and crossbanded with tulipwood veneers and ebony stringing, the fall-front bureau supported on bracket feet, having a rectangular body enclosing five graduated lockable drawers and one fall-front writing slope enclosing pigeon holes and two drawers; the whole hand-painted and decorated with polychrome pigments in the neoclassical manner of Angelica Kauffman incorporating urns, floral swags, and a figural scene within an oval cartouche.
