A Louis XVI Style Parquetry Occasional Table
Constructed in Kingwood and Tulipwood with fine ormolu bronze mounts; of free-standing form, the ormolu sabot-shod feet modelled as lions' paws, swept cabriole legs dressed with acanthus- and palm-shaped espagnolettes joined by a parquetry undertier; the frieze of conforming marquetry work incorporating a single drawer with central ormolu mascaron, the platform top of fine brecciated Sienna marble.
