A Pair of Alabaster Renaissance Revival
Ornamental Vases on Pedestals
Carved with great finesse, the shaped vases on a laurel wrapped waisted socle, giving way to a lobed bulbous stem, the body of the vases fluted and carved in high relief with scrolling foliates and mythical chimera-mask handles to either side, surmounted by bell-shaped tops with acanthus carving; both pedestals stop-fluted and with a carved ribbon relief with similar foliate motifs.
