A Pair of Wall Lights in the Manner of André-Charles Boulle
Constructed in finely cast and chased ormolu, twin serpentine square section arms, decorated with foliates support everted drip pans, and baluster turned bobeches, issue from shaped backplates centred about 'Green Man' masks, with pendant seeding fruit terminals, with domed finials over.

The Louvre Museum exhibits an eight light chandelier of virtually identical design to our wall lights, recorded in Jean-Pierre Samoyault's 1732 catalogue of the works of Boulle (Gilt Bronzes in the Louvre, Editions Faton, 2004, Dijon).
