A Set of Four Ormolu Twin-Light Appliques
In the Louis XVI Style
Constructed from cast, chased and gilded bronze, each wall light of ribbon-tied design with intertwined foliate branches interspersed with bunches of grapes and cascading tassels.
French, circa 1880
Epitomizing the Louis XVI era fascination with naturalistic elements brought inside, the design of these wall appliques has enduring appeal. Some of the finest examples were made by Paris' leading bronziers of the 19th century.
