DescriptionConstructed in mahogany, of exemplary colour and patination; of freestanding end support form, the base platforms dressed with precisely carved spandrels in the Grecian manner, and having inset integral castors; a long central drawer, flanked by smaller drawers, and, unusually, addorsed drawers in the ends, all mahogany lined and with quadrant mouldings, and dressed with circular brass keyhole escutcheons; the writing surface having radiused corners, and fitted with a tooled Morocco leather of mellow colour. Circa 1825
