Description
Constructed using gilt bronze, and 'Sevres' style porcelain having 'Bleu de Roi' borders, and hand painted with polychrome foliate and rustic designs; of serpentine form, the pierced bronze backplate flanked by scrolled candle arms, with porcelain bobeches; the pen tray with embossed decoration, and rising hinged compartment having a bucolic porcelain inset plaque, with flanking circular porcelain encriers, and the fascia plate of conforming porcelain.
