A Fine Pair of Console Tables in the Louis XV Manner
Constructed in carved and gilded wood; rising from four swept and scrolled legs adorned with acanthus designs, and dressed with looped garlands, and having conjoining stylised 'X' form stretchers carved with imbrication, having centrally situated urns with foliate flambeaux atop, and draped floral festoons; the aprons have three ostrich feathers to the centre, issuing flowering curlicues, interspersed with paterae at the angles, and having arc-en-arbalette shaped Cararra thumbnail edged marble platforms.
