In the Chinoiserie Taste
An unusual longcase clock, supported on splayed feet, the case decorated in a plethora of black & gold chinoiserie floral motifs and landscapes populated with figures, the hood’s broken swan neck pediment surmounted by pagoda finials, the painted dial denoting the hours in roman numerals, flanked by pharaonic herms which are repeated again below.
