Of the George IV Period
Constructed from a figured rosewood, the revolving bookcase supported on a stationary octagonal plinth base, the unit with adjustable shelves of conforming shape with the chamfered angled panels set with decorative leather book spines; above, the circular top with a green tooled leather surface.

A similar bookcase design is depicted in Rudolph Ackermann's "Repository of Arts" in March 1810, and another circular model from c.1810 is illustrated in Clifford Musgrave's "Regency Furniture" (London, 1961, pl. 77A).
