A Fine Commode in the Louis XV Manner after a model by Jacques Dubois
By Maison Rogié of Paris
Constructed in book-matched kingwood veneers, inlaid with floral motifs, and richly decorated with fine ormolu mounts; of bombe serpentine form, having the two drawers framed within a foliate ormolu cartouche, with conforming ormolu scrolled sabots and espagnolettes: the sides having conforming ormolu cartouches enclosing the quarter veneers, dressed with foliate marquetry, and having a Breche d’Alep platform with a thumbnail moulded edge.
