A Superb Centre Table In the Louis XVI Manner
Of free standing elliptical form, the mahogany frame richly decorated with finely cast and chased ormolu, and having a thumbnail moulded edge Griotte Pyrenean platform; rising from tapered ormolu foliate cast legs with a conjoining ormolu mounted shaped and swept stretcher dressed with a central garland draped finialed urn, with oblate bun feet in ormolu below; the frieze incorporating two drawers, its the apron mounted with ormolu circular medallions of females interspersed with ormolu relief panels of frolicking putti, and foliate ormolu mounts to the angles.
